Thanks for the post. Is it possible to get a list by class isntead of by group? I'd like to know how i did against the stockers.

Hi Matt - they are listed by class.
With the linear system, many types of car can be in the same class.

Maybe its just my inner newbie shining through, but isn't classing (stock, superstock, street prep and modified) based on your upgrades rather than your car? I find my protege5 in the same list as the protege5 that has slicks, rear sways, shocks, springs and a shortshifter. Is there a list that would show me against the rest of the stockers? obviously i'm going to get blown away by the guys with modded suspension and slicks, i want to compare my time to the guys running stock.
Thanks,
Matt

Hanif created a different classification system that uses linear progression from class 6 to class 1 based on the solo 1 rules.
the rules you are thinking of are the regional car classification system

So in this system it isn't possible to win anything with a stock car? I'm not going to say it made my day any less fun because I didn't go to win, but I really wish I knew how well I did against those people with whome i am in a fair race. Oh well, I'm sure I'll hit some regionals and compare my skills there.
It was interesting to see how i did against the stock elise :) (just 2 hundreths slower) I guess 70 grand doesn't buy you fast laps. Though i'm still envious beyond description.

I won Class 4 and posted the third best time overall in a stock car. :)

I personally think that a stock Porshce 911, a Corvette Z06 and any number of other stock cars could have a realistic shot at a class win and FTD. Now if your driving a stock Hyundi Pony or a Yugo with crappy all seasons you don't stand much of a chance at taking any class win or placing anything above last overall....
Remember it's not the car, it's the driver. Drop Tony McGrath in the above mentioned Pony or Yugo and you've got a chance at seeing the car in the top five of the class.
A novice can't expect a good showing in a class full of experienced competitors, most of the time.....
Get out and have some fun and pay your dues, speed will come with experience. Don't make the mistake of thinking that modding a car to the max will make you quick, it won't.....

Hopefully the rookies will read this and believe it before spending lots of money on their cars. Money is much better spent on driver training!
