Hi all,

Have anyone used this rim before and if these are strong enough for solo2? These look a little bit flimsy

thanks!

I haven't used them, but they were part of my research a couple of years back before buying SSR Competitions. I heard no complaints about the integrity of the RP-F1's and they're pretty much the cheapest super-light weight 17" out there. (I found some slightly damaged SSR's that balanced the cost.) They're probably not hub-centric for your vehicle, though, so expect to need centering rings that will add (well, subrtact) some offset.

I would worry more about them on the street (where you run lower pressures at 100km/h into 6" deep Hwy 401 pot holes and 4" high frost heaves.) Solo 2 courses are usually designed AROUND damaged pavement and you run higher pressures which helps to prevent a skinny tire bottoming out. Should be fine!

We have 16 of them for our race car... I figure if Realtime Racing uses them on their 5 Acuras in the Speed World Challenge they should be ok...

I sold a few sets to Mini Canada to be used on the Targa Newfoundland car. No issues whatsoever, and Jim Kenzie (who likes to drop wheels off the road) drove the car. Very strong wheel.
