2006 CHRA Mosport Historics Cancelled
April 29, 2006 Tampa, FL – It is with much regret that CHRA must cancel the 2006 Mosport Historics. There are a number of contributing factors, including other historic race events schedule on the same date.
“We are very disappointed to have to cancel this event. As a new organization, we were very excited to have been able to add an event at a North American facility as historically significant as Mosport International Raceway. It appears as we were a bit too ambitious in our efforts as a new group and do not believe we can attract the car count to make this event a success.” said Tim Pendergast, Director of Operations and Promotions with CHRA. “We would like for this to be a postponement and not a cancellation, as we would look to include this event on our schedule in 2008 or 2009. We will work closely with Myles Brandt, of Mosport, to see if we can make this happen”
“CHRA would like to thank Myles Brandt and his staff at Mosport for their efforts with this event. It has been a pleasure to work with a group like that. We look forward to the opportunity to work with them in the future.” noted Pendergast.
