Talked with DD today and Trackdog and 13 others are pre-registered. She expects 4 more to show to have a field of 18 cars instead of 3 cars which was last year's season opener.

Just got home from my one and only lazy weekend at the track. I actually got to watch some fantastic racing from corner 5 today. Steve that Jag of yours is one nice car. As for the rest it was a treat to see everyone out despite some on and off weather. Congradulations to BEMC as well for a great run weekend.

That Jag definitely has some claws. I was watching at corner 2 & 3. I know you pulled out early was it a mechanical issue? :(

The Jag brought back some great memories of the Trans Am years. Steve certainly looked much more comfortable with it during Sunday's first race (certainly through corner 3) & you could tell the Cat was on the prowl!

The Jag was definently intense to watch. We were all down at Moss in the woods at 5b. I had a cam-corder stuck to my face half the time :)
The Jag looks like it has some good tourque and no lack of HP.
Ya sure snapped sideways real quick and left a nice fat black streak leaving Moss on cold tires !!:D
I also really liked the Porsche 935 slant nose. It is a very appealing car. I did expect it and the Jag to maybe battle but oh well. My first time ever seing one and hopefully not the last!
Thanks for the great show everyone.. Made for a superb yet cold afternoon :)

Hey nice picture JC, it was a blast learning to drive the Jag at Mosport. I locked up the rear brakes going into turn 8 (man its fast up the back straight!) the rearend jumped out on me. Unfortunately by the time I got it straightend out again I was onto the marbles on the outside of 8 and the rearend went again, I locked it up and went into the tirewall with the left rear corner. Fortunately I got the car slowed down enough that we only had some fibreglass and sheet metal damage and one very bruised ego. :(

The car is amazing to drive and is a HUGE leap from anything I have ever driven before. While we managed to get down into the 1:29's, not too bad for a 25yr old car. Now the driver just has to get the seat time and learn how to drive it.

We'll be back out for the Festival.

Steve:
Check out the link I posted in The Racing forum in the thread "Thank You". I was at corner 3 & took a picture of you on every lap of your first race Sunday from warm-up to cool down. I also have pics from Saturday that I'll post later, If you are interested in copies of any of them, I'll bring a CD either to the June Vintage Festival or the July 1 races. Thanks for adding something special to the weekend!

Yes Steve - it was great to see you out there! Hope it was fun - at least until close to the end...

The 935 belongs to Del Bruce... yes - another beautiful car...

Next up for us is the big Vintage Festival... June 22/25.... see you all there!
