nice work Bubba...ur I mean Marsh! :p Man, nothing like duking it out with the Nascar crowd on a roundy round track. You WOSCA boys are a different breed. Definitely your own kind of natural cool

BTW, you pick up the Teins yet? If so, you diggin' them?

Marsh

Yea I picked up the Teins and tested them in Barrie with the springs reveresed (8's in front, 12's in back) but the rates were too far appart and the front out side wheel was buckling in corners and the car would flop from neutral to full understeer. So I ordered a pair of 10kg springs and switched the 12's back to the front for the time being. I didn't get the 10's on in time for yesterday so I wasn't expecting to do well, but It seems the car was faster than I thought it was. Once I get the Teins sorted they will definitely be the weapon I was looking for. I think by next June I will be able to at least be riding Pat's bumper through 3 and 4, if not challenging him for the win. That is, of course, unless he gets significant power increase.

ha! nice pic Shaman! I actually know a guy who just put a rotorary engine into something similar...a Ford Festiva I think. I didn't pay that much attention since it wasn't a Honda :p Apparently the thing goes like stink! It's gotta have a good power-to-weight ratio, that's for sure. He was killing Porsches at a lapping day on the big track in it, or so I am told. Of course we all know how slow the average Porsche driver is at lapping events. Why can't dentists with $100k cars drive?

HAH! Pat, are you a dentist? I honestly had no idea. I just like to joke with all my impoverished Honda compatriots about all the slow dentists we pass in our little $3k rustbuckets. But hey, after all the pain and suffer dentists put us all thru I think it's fair for us to take a few cheap shots at them in return :p

I need Novacain!!!

Actually Dave, with all the smoke that your car has been spewing for the last year or so, your car could be Bob Marley that has come back as a Honda!

Okay, so you missed my reference completely....no, I'm not a dentist, I'm an engineer (a much higher form of life...) ;)

I figured everyone in the motorsports arena would know of the *Dexter Days*, put on by a dentist, no less. He actually runs some wildly successful open-lapping days on the big track at Mosport 5 times a summer. And yes, he drives a $100,000 Porsche....(not that quickly either....).

They are usually fairly well run days, though one can ALWAYS expect to see a major *OFF* during the morning runs at a Dexter Day. Many of the Regional Racers come out and use those as testing days. If you're interested in doing some open-lapping at Mosport, it's one of the events to check out.

He has two events left this year, Sept 20th and Oct 19th (??).

Engineers own! I didn't realize Dexter was a dentist, though I am familiar with his events. I'd imagine there's lot of tooth scrappers at his events too, thus your "dentist day" reference. Amazing how it's all coming together for me now... :p

One more year. I went part time last year. This is my last year. I did it largley so I could do my project on the FSAE car. I'm designing the suspension this year.
