How-To's & Where do I's for the BARC Canada Day Grand Prix of Ontario and the Inaugural Solo Sprint Canada Day Shootout:

Attention all participants in this weekend's festivities, the following info is for you!

1. How To Register:
Registration will take place in the Registration building for Solo as well. There is a form to be filled out, email me at searaygal@yahoo.ca if you would like a PDF version of it sent to you, you will have to present it in order to get in as a competitor. The building itself is past the DDT entrance on the right, big sign, you can't miss it. Registration opens Friday around 4PM for those of you who are early birds.

2. Where do I Park/Set-up?:
Solo I can set up anywhere in the paddock area. Just show your wristband which you will get at registration at the gate, head through the tunnel and set-up on the tarmac. You will see some of the regional cars already there, everyone sort of slots themselves in. Solo II will have an area cordoned off as they will be doing a show'n shine over the weekend. If you'd like to pit with them, it would be great for publicity & promotions.

3. When should I be there?
You will have to register & there is a drivers meeting which is mandatory plus you'll need time for set-up so I recommend being there for 8AM. On-track activity starts at 9 AM sharp and Solo's 45-minute lapping session will start at roughly 9:50AM. You will need to be on the mock-grid before that, just wait for the call on the loudspeaker, or if you don't hear it, head up around 9:40. When the Touring cars go out, start getting ready. The schedule for the event is available on the events page of the CASC website and also will be on page 2 of the Official Program which you can pick up at registration. On Sunday, if you are not taking advantage of the FREE camping, the on-track activity again starts at 9AM. I recommend being there no later than 8:30AM as you will need time to set-up again etc.

4. Tickets for the family & friends who are coming to watch:
Extra FREE tickets are available for download on the casc home page. Your crew and yourself will have wristbands but non-crew will require a ticket to get in. Please email me if you have any trouble.

5. Proper attire etc. during the event:
Anyone who is going over pit wall to time (limit is 3 people/car), observe etc, will have to:
a: Have a wristband
b: have long pants
c: no open-toed shoes
d: be over the age of 16

6. Scruitineering:
Not necessary for this event as you should have already been tech'd by Solo. If you have any questions, please email me directly.

7. Extras:
Your wristband entitles you to food at the bbq in the evening that BARC is putting on. Friends/family etc who do not have wristband will have to pay a small fee for the bbq. We do offer the free DJ dance on the Mock-Grid and Fireworks at dusk as well.

Hope this helps and if I've missed anything, please email me & I will get an answer for you.

I will be at the track Friday, Saturday and Sunday & look forward to seeing all of you.

Cheers,
Amy :)
