George apparently got up to 200km/h, but didn't get it recorded, and Victor who pulled 108km/h around the corner (and kept it on the track).

keep in mind the corner speed can only be used as a reference against the other corner speeds...and is NOT accurate since it was taken on a very high angle to the radar gun....anything over 20 degrees...really throws the speed reading way off..thats why its important to shoot straight at the cars :)

wow thanx Rob. Those are some very interesting numbers.
I never know how fast I was going on track as I am not gifted with the ability to peek at the speedo (not that accurate btw) and still make the corner.

It 'seems' like I ended up at somewhere I should be with 240hp (vs Rob's and Chris's 328 for example). But that also reveals that I particularly suck at the other portions of the track. :D :(

Actually Adam, I was working the gun at the end of the straight and the corner speeds were straight at the rear end of the car as it was apexing. It was a straight on shot, no angles, as the car was going away from us.

ok..then it should be accurate :)

shows those little shifter karts really corner :)

For those who weren't there- which corner?

My shift light goes off at 210km/h well before the first braking sign (25.66" tire, 1:1 cog, 3.73 rear, 6K RPM). I'd be interested in knowing my car's straight speed. My bet is 224km/h. I really wish I could have been there for this, because my speedometer doesn't keep up to the car. :(

Cornering speed, as evidenced by some of the numbers, is largely a question of chutzpa. ;)

Jud Buchanan BSS1 Acadian 177

Acadian???

It's the Pontiac version of the Chevy Chevelle (sp), Tom.

I wonder what your car would be doing, 85km.:D

Oh the abuse, eh Tom!

The Chevelle, or the Chevette??? I had a Chevette, and there is no WAY it hit 177. As you will notice, Krispy hit 152, I'm sure I could hit 125-130. :p

The 60's Tom the 60's. Yes in the 70's Accadian was a Chevette, but everything in the 60's was high HP.

Gotta love the sound of Jud's Acadian. It's almost enough to convert me away from my Honda's, almost.

Ah, that makes sense. I was thinking it was an Acadian (80's version) with an SBC or something, but that wouldn't handle worth a crap.

The picture is way too small but Jud's Acadian is the first car in the second row.

That thing is so sweet sounding and so pristine it's a work of art.
