I was at the Grand Prix yesterday and made a point of staying to watch this race. It was excellent! Perphaps the best show of the day.

This was my first time seeing a vintage GT race and would certainly go to another one. It was very interesting seeing the different types of cars (Corvettes, BMWs, etc.) all on the track at the same time.

Congratulations to all involved!

Awesome race. Sonia took a few hundred pictures of the vintage guys over all four sessions. We are going through 9 GB of pictures she took over the three days of all the different series (except drifting), most from turn 3 and should have some posted later in the week.

Turn three was total carnage during the champ car race, 13 cars involved in five different incidents.....

The Vintage guys had their moments...... Malcolm put the Vette into the tires right in front of us on Saturday morning...... A 911 backed it into the tires as well and another 911 punted a 944 on Friday.

Those M1's were awesome..... as was the XKE Jag.

Congrats to all the drivers, working on the Grids this was truly a treat as we know so many of the faces!

We had a great time gridding you all as usual & even more watching the race from pit lane!

Great job to you all & I look forward to seeing you at Mosport!!!

I was part of the marshalling team working Corner 3 all weekend. All of the Vintage cars were fantastic and I was really impressed with the speed of them through the hairpin. 13 Blue seemed especially fast in the right hander, in fact sometimes so fast that I had the yellow "half out" through the hole in the fence.
Congratulations to all racers for a fantastic show. :D

BTW, it was also nice to meet some of you who got an early start to the day on Saturday morning by coming onto the track before Race Control said "GO". :D :D I was the guy standing in the middle of the track at the end of the back straight. It really was a great way to wake us up. :p

Jon here from Time Warp Racing. This event went very well for our first effort and we congratulate the drivers and crew, BARC and CASC.

Dino, Alister and myself thank the Toronto Grand Prix Association for the opportunity to allow Time Warp Racing to organize this event and work alongside them to present it.

Our team put out three cars, however my ride developed a terminal transmission problem and I missed the feature. Our Jag did not make the event either, although we worked hard to get it there.

I would also like to thank our US entrants for making the trip up to race with us.

Enjoy more pictures at www.nickperry.ca. Watch for press coverage coming up in the Sun, Inside Track, PRN, Victory Lane and Vintage Motorsport.

We will begin working on next years event as soon as possible.

What a great weekend, a big thanks to the Time Warp Group, everyone at BARC, especially Perry for helping us tow the Big Cat up to the grid a few times. Chasing Aram in the M1 around on Saturday qualifying was a blast, we achieved our goal putting the car on the trailer the way it came off. :)

The Hard Luck Award goes to Frank Fusillo and his crew, after losing a motor on Saturday they stayed all night and took the green on Sunday. Unfortunately he only made it to the first turn on the first lap before being taken out.

I think it was a real good idea of Champ Car to put their "support" race ahead of the true feature "The Atto Vintage Challenge".
The people who left after the Champ Car race missed a real bunch of "professionals" running wide open. Boy the sound of a herd of massive V8's rumbling down Lakeshore Blvd sends shivers up your spine. Congrats to all 38 competitors who gave there all during the weekend. It was an absolute pleasure to work with you and assist where we were needed.
As a driver, it was sure hard to sit & watch you all having so much fun.
I think the ear to ear smile on Diane Dales face said it all.
Thanks to John & Kim for helping us Clerks get all the troops in order and making the gridding, practicing, qualifying & racing run so smoothly.

And I'm sure the 'no start' was just so that we could all get one more lap of that sound and a good look at all of you before it got hectic. Thx.

nope, the "no start" was because Blaise Csida was on pole, set the pace, and Peter Klutt started to accelerate before the green flag. Klutt was about 5 car lengths ahead when the green would have been dropped, so the flagger made the right call and called off the start.

them things happen :)

As they say - it was the best of times . . . it was the worst of times.

Sorry about the full course yellow caused by my car (#16) on the first lap :(

After a strong start, moving up from 11th to about 9th, we had a mechanical failure and lost all steering coming out of corner 6. Fortunately it was at a pretty low speed, as all the cars were bunched up from the accordian effect. The towtruck tried a towrope, but the car couldn't be steered so they had to get underneath and lift the front end before they could remove me from the track. Then I was towed around right back to the paddock where I ended up spending the rest of the race

Thanks to all the workers, volunteers and organizers for a memorable event. And despite my problem - Strudwick Motorsports did a great job looking after me all weekend.

(If any drivers behind me have video showing the incident, I would appreciate getting a copy.)

Thankyou, thankyou, thankyou to Time Warp, BARC, Atto, all the volunteers and, all the competitors/crews. Plus the people that just came out to say hi and lend support. This was an experience we will not soon forget. The car actually went in the trailer "better" than it came out. Let's do it again soon.

Many thanks to Time warp for making our victory able to happen and to Atto for their help.
Great job by the Marshalls and other workers for making it a smooth weekend. I know from being the Race Director for six years that work as volanteers can be brutal in the heat and thankless but you did a great job.

Thanks again to everyone Phil and everyone at Strudwick Motorsports.
