Rally Organizers Seminar

On Sunday, October 29, in conjunction with the RSO Calendar Meeting (newly rescheduled to allow for the rallycross event conflict Oct 22), Rallysport Ontario will be holding Event Organizer seminars for both OPRC and ORRC events. As RSO Vice-President of Navigational Rally, I will be facilitating the ORRC seminar. This is an opportunity for those who have never organized an event to learn what is involved and how to go about it. For those who have organized a few club-level events, this seminar can help you become comfortable enough to take on organizing an Ontario Road Rally Cup event in the future, or just pick up some tips to make what you do easier. And, for those who have already been or currently are ORRC Organizers, this is a chance to share your experience with others and maybe work out any difficulties you may have had for next time. At the conclusion of the seminar, information obtained will be compiled into an official RSO Organizers Guide.
The more attendees, the more information we can share, so I hope to see all potential event organizers on the 29th!

The Rally Organizers Seminar scheduled for Oct 29 will be an opportunity for:
-people who have no idea about organizing to get an idea
-people who have organized before in a small way to get more ideas
-people who are expert organizers to share ideas and tips

Planned topics include: route setup, administration, promotion, timing, checkpoints, workers, and scoring.

"Since the decision has been made to run the RSO Calendar Meeting by e mail and the response for the Organizers' Seminars has been weak, the RSO Board has decided to cancel the Seminars booked for October 29th.

The revised plan for these Seminars will be announced at a later date.
