If you don't have a copy already (sounds like you might), you should grab a copy of the latest issue of 'Grassroots Motorsport Magazine'. It's got a really good comparo article for street tires including the Azenis and T1-S as well as a bunch of R-compounds.

FYI, if you want to be competitive in Solo 1 you're eventually going to need a set of R-compounds. They are the fastest way to go, but it does mean investing in a second set of rims and tires. You'll find that you can buy R-compounds for less than a high performance street tires, so they're a good value. But there's nothing wrong with starting off on street tires and learning the tracks during your first season of Solo 1. Since it sounds like you'd prefer to only have one set of tires/rims, the Falken Azenis are apparently the faster tire but the T1-S are also very good in my experience and will be a superior rain/street tire with a longer tread life than the Azenis. The Kumho 712's are also apparently quite good.

Cheers,
