COM Sports Car Club from Massachusetts would like to invite everyone here to join us at Mosport September 5th & 6th (Tuesday - Wednesday). First day is a driving school/lapping day and the second day is a time trial. Right now, the registration looks light and there will be plenty of track time for everyone.
The following link goes to the registration page.

I have received a few emails with questions. I figure I best post the answers here because many of you may have similar questions.
1) Please confirm which track this is at, the Grand Prix track or the development track. Will you have marshalls and medics on site.
We will utilize the Grand Prix road course. Track marshalls (flaggers), tow-truck, and an ambulance with two medics will be provided on-site. We run our events as safely as possible.
2) What experience do your instructors have?
Our instructors each have many years of lapping and time trial experience. Many race (wheel-to-wheel) in SCCA, which is an equivalent organization in the US as CASC.
3) How many cars per session?
Typically, we limit 30 cars maximum every session. However, our number of registered participants is very low at the moment. There is a good chance that we may have two open track sessions, one before lunch and one after lunch.
4) How many sessions per day?
There are usually 4-5 sessions per run group on the first day, usually 20-30 minutes per session. On the second day, 2 sessions per run group in the morning. Then the afternoon of the second day is reserved for time trials, which is 4 laps per driver (1 warmup lap and 3 timed laps). Any available time after the time trial will be open track until 5pm.
Since the number of registered participants is low, it is likely to be open track sessions for both days. Open track the entire first day, with an one-hour lunch break at noon. Then open track in the morning of the second day until lunch time.
Track opens at 9am and shuts down at 5pm.
5) How long is a session?
Please see above.
6) Are there going to be any passing limitations?
Yes, we require point-bys when passing. Our passing zones are: T10-T1, T3-T4, T5b-T8.
7) What experience is required to attend just the second day?
To participate in our second day, one of our instructors must approve a new driver to the club before he/she may drive solo. This usually requires one of our instructors to ride along in the car or follow the new driver around the track. If you are interested to only participate in the second day, please list your intent and driving experience in either the comments text-field or in the appropriate area. Then we may prepare an instructor to evaluate your driving experience in the morning of the second day.
8) Can you arrive and pay at the track?
No. We require pre-event registration done online, then paid either online or mailed to our treasurer. If you have any issues with our online registration and payment, please let me know. Lastly, I understand that we, as a club, are new to your area, so you may have concerns about our legitability. We have been inked in the Mosport schedule since the end of last year ( http://www.mosport.com/roadhome.htm). We have been at Mosport earlier this year, in June, as well as once per year for the past 6-8 years. Mosport is a fun and challenging track that we enjoy returning to.
9) Prices?
$175US for one day
$330US for both days
Our club insurance policy requires club members only. Therefore, if you are not a member of COM for 2006, you will need to pay the membership fee of $30US to register.
