Is it worth considering a distinction in prep points assigned between linear and progressive springs? I figure it would probably be quite difficult to make a division by spring rates, but how about between progressive and linear springs? I don't know if you can get progressive springs with really high spring rates, anyone? Just wanted to stir the old prep point pot...

i have to agree on this point. Rice boys(shhhhhh did i say that? :p ) with progressive springs have no chance against people with linear track rates. maybe only assign 2 prep points for a progressive system and the full 3 for linear. I believe this is atleast worth looking into. But then you gotta decide what difines a progressive spring and where do torsion bars and leaf springs fit into this thing(maybe thats easy to figure out)? Ofcourse you always run into the old policing thing...........

You can get progressive springs that are stiffer than stock and they lower your car so they do offer an improvement. Question: how do you plan on policing this?
I think we should simplify instead of making the rules more and more complex.
I agree with Caius. We need to make our rulebook simplier, not more complex. The more and more we add nitpicky little rules the greater the potential for abuse and loop holes. Someone will show up with progressive springs that go to 1100 lbs, I garauntee it.
or they might show up with 192lb progressives like me :)
i agree...we need less rules not more
Yeahhhhhh! DOWN WITH THE RULES!
