Have any non-camping entrants for St. Eustache made a hotel reservation? It would be nice to all stay in the same place rather than being spread all over Montreal.

Er, make your reservations NOW. A Labour day weekend in Montreal - I'll be surprised if there's much of anything decent and cheap left.

Hmmmm ... is there even camping there at all? Not much grass around the track from what I remember.
Anyone wanna split a room for Friday/Saturday/Sunday night? What was that place you stayed at, Craig?

Arek, I have a room reserved on Friday and Sunday that we can split.
The hotel is full on Saturday night, so there may be one night of camping...

I plan to bring my family (its the only way I could get out for this event!) - pleeeaase don't tell me they can't come out to watch or I may not be able to play!!
I'm sure they are allowed, just have to sign the waiver like the rest of us.
So, you think your wife will want to go for a ride in my "could flip at any moment death trap BMW"? Just to show her what's in your future of course! ;)

Actually, the waiver is different. Download it here (http://www.asncanada.com/2006%20ASN%20Insurance/ASN%20English%20Annual%20Parental%20Consent.pdf) (pdf)

I though that was just for minors participating in the events, not just as spectators? Good to know where all the forms are kept at any rate.

Eric, you might try talking to Ana. I'm sure she's had to deal with this issue... Ana? :)

Ana and I thought wanted to stay there for the weekend until we got that same message from then. I guess you took those last rooms! :)
Instead, we made reservations at the Radisson Hotel in the Laval area for a pretty good price. In the end, it should work out to be around the same price range as the Auberge, but for a 3 star hotel with a swimming pool. Yay!

I just cancelled my 3 night (Sept 1-4) reservation at the Auberge St-Eustache, so call now if you want to snag it.
I unfortunately can't make it to the Nationals which is why I cancelled. I've stayed at the Auberge twice before and had no problems.

Yup.
There are 2 different waivers for minors:
"Annual Parental consent waiver" for minor spectators. This waiver is signed once a year only, by the parents; but the minor (or the parent) also has to sign the general waiver on the day of the event(s) they are attending.
"Minor Participant Waiver" for minor PARTICIPANTS. The Minor driver has to sign this waiver once a year, and again, the general waiver at each event they are attending.

There's a different additional waiver for that, which the child actually signs (typically for karting). The one I linked to is for "allowing my minor child/ward to participate in all related activities of the events ..." AFAIK this would include, for example, being in an area where people who haven't signed the waiver are not allowed.

Wondering if there is camping near the track facility. Which hotel is closest to the track? Is it safe to leave my car and trailer at the track facility while staying at a hotel? Input would be very much appreciated!

While there is no campground near the the track, I have made arrangements to have a spot reserved for the people wanting to camp at the site. During the stock car nights, there are many people camping on the grassy fields approaching the track entrance.
This area is also safe to park you car and/or trailer for the weekend.
There will be a paddock area behind the track gates where you can leave your setup overnight. There is also limited space in front of our store where stuff can be parked.
While I offer no guarantees , I can say that your gear is safer at the track than parked in front of a Laval hotel.
The Auberge is the closest place and i think Brian may have a spot reserved that is up for grabs.
Call me or email me if you have other concerns.

OKay, I have a reservation for Friday to Sunday nights at Auberge St. Eustache. Looking for someone to split a room with. $85 / 2 = $42.50 a night your share. This is about 5 minutes from the track if I remember correctly.
