I can get 13"Goodyear racing slicks at a great price.Would I be able to use them or is this just a stupid question?

I can't imagine you wouldn't be able to use them. I use 215/55R13 Comp T/A R1's on my 93 Civic for Solo and there's no problems. I can't imagine your Firefly brakes are any bigger than mine unless you upgraded them. Dunno about rubbing though depends if you've lowered it or not.

To run in the Regional Solo 2 series, the tires MUST have a DOT designation.
Most clubs really don't care what tires you run at club events. Check with the club that you would like to run with.

Actually non-DOT tires are permitted by the regional series regs in the modified classes. However a Mod class vehicle with non-DOT tires or not licensed for street use require a roll bar, fire suit and SA helmet. For Solo 2 use DOT R-compound tires should be as quick as most road racing slicks as the run is not long enough to build heat in the tires. There are some slicks that do stick at cooler temps (FSAE compounds and others).

Thanks guys,thats what I wanted to know.I'm just a beginnner and don't know much about solo 2.Does anybody know where I could get some used dot 13's?

No rush.I would like to go to the GRM $2003 challenge in April and I don't like to leave anything to the last minute.I just like to be prepared.
