So I have decided to buy a race car instead of build one. I have found a GREAT race car and trailer deal in Maryland. I have not bought the care yet, because I don't own a tow vehicle yet. (I do plan on buying one next year)

Would anyone be willing to rent me thier tow vehicle for a decent rate so I can go pick up this car? You are more then welcome to travel with me as well...

Please send my a Private Message if interested... I would also appreciate any leads or ideas how I can get this car/trailer combo to Canada before I buy it.

cheers,
Patrick

Carter Truck Rentals in Burlington rents Trucks with brake controllers upon request, not sure how they deal with mileage.

Although I don't have a tow vehicle I can rent you, I can offer a bit of advise on importing a US race car. You didn't mention if it was a production based car or pure race car( never intended for street). Be sure to check out the import laws for Canada, which won't be to difficult to meet, and the US export vehicle laws. There is a 72 hour notice requirement on exporting a vehicle from the US. Details can be found on the Customs and Border Protection site, part of the US Gov site.
Race cars in the US often do not have a title, or ownership as we do for production vehicles in Canada. When we imported our car from the US two years ago there was no title, but I obtained a bill of sale, letter from a Notery that the car was not road registered and it was clearly a race car, never to return to the street again. US customs would not let the car out of the US without a title to verify ownership( the law says you have to give them time to chech the vehicle ownership before it leaves US soil in case its stolen or covered by a lein). This does present a small problem when your at the border with a trailer, car and a load of spares.
Arguing with them is of no use and we ultimatly have to rent a storage unit in Port Huron, come back to Toronto and call the Ohio motor vehicle dept, to get a letter from them indicating they had no registration for the car and the state does not register or title race cars. US customs accepted this documentation finally. The hassles you will get vary from one border point to the next and one agent to the next.I found supervisors to be a bit more reasonable.
No hassle at all on the Canadian side. I have heard of cars coming in without getting US export approval, but that is a decision the importer has to make.

Hope this helps

If you're importing a car that's genuinely intended for CASC Ontario competition, then we can also provide some of the required documentation.
