Hi all,
I need to change my front rotors yet again. I am not getting cross drilled, blanks only.
Last time I used Zimmerman, I want to try Brembo this time. Any feedback? I am just wondering if I should stay with Zimmerman.
Btw, I have a e46 330ci cab.
Thx.

did your zimmerman rotors warp or crack?
if not, stay with them.

Personally I am pro Brembo. I have never had an issue with Brembo rotors, brake pads and calipers yes, rotors no.

Either one will do fine ... just stay away from anything made in China. I have the Zimmermans on my race car right now, and they are working out fine.

You giving them time to cool down after a hard run?
Yes. I usually do 20 to 30 minute runs and do at least one cooling lap before entering the pit
Standing on the brake pedal when in the pits?
No.

======
After the first track day of the year I had serious OEM pad transfer on the front Zimmerman rotors causing juddering. I then took the rotors to my mechanics and had them turned.
I was aware that after they were turned they would be more prone to warping.
About one month ago I changed the front pads to Ferodo 2500 and the rear pads to Axxis Ultimate to get ready for next track day. I went thru the proper bedding procedure and had a nice thin layer of even transfer on the rotors.
At Shannonville on Tue I think the rotors simply overheated and warped.
