On another note - I am willing to help anyone that may be interested in improving their skill or car tuning by co-driving your vehicle at this event ;) (I am always up for learning a thing or two if the case may be).

What, no car?? If I read the results right... There is only one point between us in A-mod! So you better be co-driving an A-mod car!
Actually, for that matter, you are welcome to co-drive mine, though what I am going to do for tires is uncertain at this point...

By the looks of it if either of us are to take out Gary we will need to open up some whup-ass :D
I will take you up on your offer, your car seems to very well tuned already and you know how to drive it - ot to be fun.
There is a certain vertically challenged fella that needs taught a few things ;)

Alright. Sounds good...
Tire options are:
1) Old (hard) A032Rs (H)--these are the tires I've been running all season. It was hard to get any heat in them in July, let alone late Oct!
2) Streets--I don't mind finishing them off, but they ain't fast... Though sadly they may actually be faster than the Yoks.
3) My brother's 15" 710s--this is what i ran last event, but this will hinge on him not driving, and me being able to convince him that I need to put two more events worth of wear on them!
4) Something else?? If you know of anyone we can beg, borrow, or steal a set of 13" 710s from let me know... :D
I think the best bet for schooling Ryan is to convince him to run street tires again--he was spintastic on Sunday!

Change your spindles to a 5 x 114.3 and then I will bring my wheels.
Otherwise we be SOL (maybe).

If your brothers 15s fall through, you guys can use my set (15s). But you'll have to pick them up before the event, no way I can bring 2 sets plus everything else.

Cool! Thanks Ryan, appreciate the offer... I'll let you know after I have a chat w/my bro. Picking up shouldn't be a problem.

Give me an email

I will have my truck and can bring the tires (they are DDs wheels aren't they?) and other PITTL equipment (snow shelter) as required.

Wouldn't hurt if it's not too far out of your way... 15s are a bitch to fit with the top down, ain't gonna happen with the top up or hard top on. Not that I'm opposed to going topless, but I was kinda figuring I'm in HT mode until storage now.

Yeah! Hope I don't need the snow tires ;-).

I just realized, you're one class win away from a perfect season! Hopefully no ITRs show up on the 29th ;)

Curtis and Jeff also have 4 class wins each so far. Could be an awesome battle for the overall title!

13inches
10-18-2006, 03:57 PM
I should also mention that DareBee is next in line with 3 class wins. Its a shame about that 6 he scored at the last event.....when he finally got some competition :p

DareBee
10-19-2006, 09:21 AM
That hurts my feelings.

It is sad - I don't think I have ever had a 6 before.
Nothing a $6,000 upgrade to the Rex won't cure.

13inches
10-19-2006, 09:44 AM
How about a $20k upgrade instead?

Especially since that one has the additional "-6 spd rocket"

That is a really good price BTW

Did someone say type-R??? :D

Ah, crap. To be honest, there are plenty of other cars that could beat me, but those Type-R's are tough. Remember, this is B Stock Plus - only limited mods are allowed. How many Type-Rs are out there that still fit that description ;-)

This just in!!!!!

An annonymous donation to the MSOC has lead to all Type-Rs being re-classified to C-Mod.

Hanif, have fun against Jeff (don't call me Jay) and Finboy!

My hats off to the PITL crew for a good event today even with that crazy wind. The course was awesome with some very fast sections and maybe one slow spot.

Thanks for the great events that I did make it to and see you next year.

Great day - and awfully cold weather... all of those who showed up are hardcore.. and those who CHOSE to stay for fun-runs... just insane! :D

Kyle... what a car.
Like trying to stay on the bull for 35ish seconds... OMG!
Ad some great driving by Kyle as well... the man has got some massive attatchments!

Give me 2x Daniel's Hp / Tq... and I'll beat him by .1 of a second ANY DAY OF THE WEEK!

Fun time!
See you all next season... and maybe some of you who'll grab a beater and meet me up in Minden for ice-racing... similar amount of grip as today.. :D

Now... what will I do when Danial puts in an STi drivetrain???
I'll need a 550 Hp EVO!

 :D

Damn, cold.... at times for sure....

Oh and dead R-comps, love running in snow....

Pheeler.... I definately was humbed.... 2 seconds in my own car, with one run... damn.... I'll have to fix your little red wagon for next season. <G>

Definately suffering from wind burn though.....

Dave,

You & me both... Nice to have an idea of what your car can do though...
We should swap cars sometime next year.

Anyway... Good day despite the wind/cold/wet. Thanks to all PITLers and MSOCers for a great season!

My first PITTL event, it was great other than the snow I drove though to get there and the brutall cold wind.

Big thanks to Daniel F. I was running out of excuses why I was 2 seconds off of where I should have been other than I suck. He told me that you could not flip a V710 tire to use them up (if you wanted to stay fast). Sidewalls are different. Doh! :o

Definitely a fun day... The MSOC boys always run a tight ship, I'm always impressed...

And a fast, open layout is always good fun - makes for kind of like a solo 1.5. Just wish there was a way to make it last a little longer... :(

Give me 2x Daniel's Hp / Tq... and I'll beat him by .1 of a second ANY DAY OF THE WEEK!

LOL.... Truth be told, the car virtually drives itself... I'm convinced that anyone would do well in my car. I pretty much just put it in gear and steer. :D

You did well behind the wheel of the "Batmobile". Kyle's STi is definitely not the easiest car to learn/drive...

Don't worry about it... it's a fairly common problem... happens to a lot of guys... (so I hear)

Firstly - I don't believe you for a second... In fact - if you weren't so growth-hormonally abundant, I'd like to do a shootout with you - 2 runs in each of our cars... it'd be good fun!

You did well behind the wheel of the "Batmobile". Kyle's STi is definitely not the easiest car to learn/drive...

Batmobile, the mean, frothing at the mouth black, bucking Bull, the pornstar sex goddess, there are so many analogies...

But it took me 3 runs to figure out / remember that in a car like the STi, you can brake and steer at the same time! A function of AWD as well as an ABS car... DOH! It was fun (and necessary) once I remembered...

The one thing I couldn't get myself to do was keep my foot planted and steer at the same time... not used to it... it'd take me another event to get used to that action! BRAIN.... CANNOT.... COMPUTE!

Kyle - thanks for the ride... it was like my first time all over again! So fun... after my first run I was shell-shocked... after my 2nd run the car was still suffering a bad case of driver-lag...

I went to clean up the lot after and looked at Kyle's tire marks from that "controlled drift"... :D :p
Awesome. What a ride. Wouldn't want to drive it at the OLD PITL events at Hershey or the like... this thing needs to stretch it's legs!

Whoever parked beside the Camaro left a helmet bag and a pair of pants at the event. I left them with the organizers.

I can see forgeting the helmet bag but you would think someone would notice if he was not wearing any pants when he got home. :p
