View Full Version : FS: A whole bunch of Honda B-series parts...
Howdy folks. I've got the following parts for sale:
Integra Type R transmission with LSD and Cusco 5.0 final drive. This final drive shortens up the gearing dramatically and helps acceleration a lot. Excellent condition. No grinds. $1,800
bare GSR cylinder head, race quality port & polish by Leitner & Bush. There is damage to the #4 combustion chamber, but this can be easily repaired by Leitner & Bush. Value on the port & polish alone is well over $1.5k. $900 obo
Spoon 4-2-1 JDM exhaust manifold w/ 2.5'' collector. There are two dents on the downpipe that can be easily repaired at a shop like Brullen. $700
Skunk2 intake manifold for GSR - In perfect condition. $350
Toda 2nd gen cam gears - cosmetic damage to one, but they are in perfect working condition. $250
RC Engineering 370cc 'saturated' fuel injectors. Brand new this summer, maybe 5k km on them. Perfect condition. $300
Toyota 440cc 'peak & hold' fuel injectors (Celica Turbo AWD) w/ Toyota injector clips. Bought these brand new last summer, have very low mileage on them now (maybe 10k km). In perfect working condition, but you'll need a resistor box to run these on a B-series. $200
Custom Euro-Drive race clutch and dual pressure plate. This company specializes in making high-end (ie. Porsche Cup) clutches and custom made this clutch for my Civic race car. It grabs very hard and very quickly. Amazingly responsive and strong. Has about 15k km on it. $300
APR Performance adjustable spoiler for hatchbacks. In perfect shape. $225
P72 oil pan (B-series) with custom baffling by Mantis Racing. The baffling is designed to prevent oil starvation while cornering hard. $250
GSR/ITR intermediate shaft - $75
B16a2 fuel rail - $25
GSR intake manifold - $25
Contact me at dpratte4@cogeco.ca if you're interested in any of these items.
whoops, forgot to include a P72 (GSR/ITR) distributor, freshly and fully rebuilt in April of this year at Japan Auto Parts. Perfect working condition. $325 obo.

Yes and no. I'm actually giving up to my wallet (blew the turbo when Nortel when in the dumps). It's also partly strategic. The new Touring Car Challenge is set up using minimum curb weights, as you know, so I *think* it could work to my advantage to run the car at the minimum allowable 1850 lbs with a D-series engine (what Honda equips it with) as oppose to having to run Integra GSR minimum weight of 2400 lbs because I'm running an Integra engine. When you do the math on power-to-weight ratio I think I can build a strong enough D-series to compete, these engines are A LOT cheaper to build than B-series, and I'm going to build them myself (with the help of a few of the crack mechanics from HADA and my good friend Rick at RT Motorsport). So at the end of the day, I'll have a much cheaper car to run, should be able to afford to do some Touring Car races as a result, and I'll be able to replace the engines I will inevitably blow up very easily because the parts are dirt cheap and I'll be doing all the labour myself.
So it's partly financial, partly strategic, and partly my desire to learn how to build an engine from the ground up. All these things added up in such a way that it just makes sense for me at this time to go back to a SOHC D-series engine. BUT...I'll still whip Adam's shapely butt even with 1 less cam and less displacement :)
whoever e-mailed me about the Skunk2 manifold with the address JDM@mircosoft.com and ask for me to reply to bb1_eg6@hotmail.com, I tried replying to both these addresses and they both failed. Please send me a valid e-mail address or just call me at 905-304-9258
December 8th update:
The following items are still for sale and prices have been lowered on many of them. A few new items have been added as well. E-mail me at dpratte4@cogeco.ca for pictures.
Spoon 4-2-1 JDM exhaust manifold w/ 2.5'' collector. There are two dents on the downpipe that can be easily repaired at a shop like Brullen for $100-200 at the most. The bad dent is about 1/4'' deep at it's worst and about the size of a twoonie. The other dent is very minor and purely cosmetic. $550

APR Performance adjustable spoiler for hatchbacks. In perfect shape. $200
P72 distributor. Freshly rebuilt at Japan Auto Parts in April of this year. Receipt to prove it. In perfect working condition. This distributor will also fit 92-95 JDM OBD 1 B16 engines (or any OBD 1 VTEC motor so long as you are using an OBD 1 engine wiring harness) - $325
GSR/ITR intermediate shaft - $75
GSR alternator - $75
GSR/ITR/B16 upper driver's side engine mount with prothane poly inserts. Fully assembled and ready to go. $80
B16a2 fuel rail - $25
GSR intake manifold - $25 (will NOT fit on a B16 head without modification plus you'd need a P72 ECU to take advantage of the secondary intake design)
ha ha ha...too bad for... you ours cars are going in different directions....you are going to have less power and the same handling as before..and i am going to have more power and better handling....ha ha ha ha
the evil honda horde will be defeated

Adam, I'm afraid your car will be awfully fast with your Teins and a good driver :P I will be lightening my car to the Touring Car Challenge minimum of 1950 lbs. (including driver and fluids), so my power-to-weight ratio should still be pretty good. I plan to make 160 whp (or about 185 at the crank) with my wretched little 1.6L SOHC engine, so combine this with a 1700 lbs curb weight (I weight about 220 lbs and fluids have got to weight another 30 lbs or so) and you end up with a pretty quick package that is easy on tires, brakes, and fuel. And best of all I can blow up 10 of these engines at the same cost as 1 of my old B-series engines, so financially it makes a lot of sense for me at this point. Nevertheless, I'm probably going to have to pass the torch to somebody else from the Honda camp to keep you humble since we'll likely be running in different classes in 2003. Kenneth (the guy who showed up with the black RSX at the last weekend) looks like he'll be very fast, so Nissan weasels beware! :)
