Re: Friday CTMP test days

In the end, for us it came down to a few factors:

1. Time availability. There are only so many weekends in a summer
2. Variety: While I love Mosport, we chose SPC because it's running 4 tracks...

Re: Friday CTMP test days

Testing track time =/= racing track time. I value racing time WAY higher than testing time for fun factor and reward, so you really can't just compare the minutes you get.

Re: Friday CTMP test days

Certainly seems like a bizarre experiment ... test day is not mandatory. You don't have to go. If you're worried about someone getting an advantage because of more testing, you're worried about the...

Re: Get more racers on track

I definitely see your concerns, however, I have seen my share of atrocious driving and blindness from many "experienced" drivers who should know better. Maybe we should do it like MTO and require a...

Re: Get more racers on track

It seems many don't agree with you based on the comments about other series drivers we see in this (and other) posts on this forum.

Several suggestions and insight has been offered:

- reduce...

Re: Get more racers on track

it's not free anywhere ... unless you know your doctor really well and he's your buddy, lol. I pay $90, most walk-ins are $100-125.

Re: Get more racers on track

Yup, and guess what? Packaging sells product. The fact that the Ontario rules have appendixes that run the whole ****ing alphabet has always been beyond me ... unless you know what you're looking...

Re: Get more racers on track

It's on page 4 ... dude said stock cars can be built safely for $1500. I don't agree, but the roundy-round crowd is a whole 'nother ballgame :)

Re: Get more racers on track

There are several dudes that race regularly at CMP, and are awesome drivers. I keep asking them why they don't race with CASC or at other tracks.

#1 answer: Too annoying and costly to get a...

Re: Get more racers on track

Yes, it IS in fact the only difference. Tx = GTx, except GTx must use Pirelli. In Tx, you can use whatever you want. And it's stupid since Ontario (or basically Canada in general) motorsports...

Re: Get more racers on track

All very good points. Noone should be racing door to door if they are not comfortable with it that's a recipe for disaster for sure.

Having said that, here are a couple points to consider:

Re: Get more racers on track

A suggestion: Why not have the banquet at the FIRST event of the next season? Bonus nice dinner for the start of the season, and a celebration of the past winners and hopefully incentive to come...

They're fine, but the 3" belts make it bad for HANS, and somewhat less comfortable in the lap belts.

I'd rather get these: ...

Re: WTB: 2.5" to 60mm Perch Adapters

just have a machine shop crank out a set.

Or, for likely the same price, just buy a new set of springs that are the proper size, lol
