Are you aware that they can take their own car to the track and sign up for one of the many fine schools that offer programs for the day at places like CTMP DDT, Shannonville, etc.

Most any type of car will do, standard or automatic, instructors are available to teach you the ropes, very affordable for the beginner as such and you get tons of track time, not to mention it is a ton of fun (even in a low powered street car of any kind). When I first got interested that is exactly what I did with my street car and I am glad I did, it gave me the most bang for my buck and I learned a lot (plus I did not have to worry about writing off a 6 figure exotic that is probably worth more than many condominiums).
