2008 BEMC Challenge for Terry Fox Foundation

Once again BEMC is offering the members of Ontario Region a chance to support the Terry Fox Foundation at our Indian Summer Trophy races in September.

We are encouraging anyone who wishes, to raise funds for this worthy cause. Last year we raised just shy of $5,000. and the top fund raiser was Alex Habrich. Who thinks they can beat the Orange Unicorn this year.

You can create your own team online to make things easier for your friends and families to donate. The links are all on the link below.

We are encouraging all competitors in the War Bonnet Enduro to get pledges per lap that they complete and we have a pledge sheet specifically for that purpose on the links page that you can print off. It is in a Word document format. Pass it around the office and get support from your neighbours that have to listen to you tune your car late into the evening.

So the time is now to get started. We will also be having other opportunities for you to donate at the track and at the dinner on Saturday night.

We announced a "Tricycle Race" last year and I would like to have an idea of interest in this from anyone that was planning on taking part. We need to find the best time to work this into the very busy schedule that we have on that weekend. If you are planning on entering your own design or using a "Stock Class" tricycle please reply to this thread so I can get an idea.

I think that if we may need to encourage a few of the drivers to take on this challenge. Anyone one to Challenge a fellow competitor to a little head to head racing. Remember the only horsepower that is important here is what you can generate not what you can BUY.

Unicorn Motorsports will be stepping up to that challenge again this year. Last year we ran 112 laps finishing 1st overall, six laps ahead of the competition. We will also be making a limited supply (150) Caps the say " I ran for Terry Fox on September 13th, 2008 - BEMC War Bonnets Enduro" that we will be selling for a minimum donation of $15.00 each, with all proceeds going to the Terry Fox Foundation !!!
