It's July...

Like the title says its July and if your building a mod/specials car you'd better be getting started to run it this year.January seems a long way off but believe me its not.I started mine in september, spent nearly every week night and weekend on it and was still 2 weeks into the regular schedule before it was ready.
I pick up a new engine for my car in a couple weeks, same but different.

So anyone stepping up?

No its not dec yet so you'll have LOTS of time if your running a completely underprepped car yet want to bitch about a guy that does put in the time it takes to properly prep a car to a ruleset.

Re: It's July...

The scooby will be better prepped this year not as special mod, but definitely won't be a daily driver lol. I've been working on it on and off all summer

still trying to get my summer car working.

Shane and I will stick to the unofficial mr2 spec class so we can repeat last years trade positions many times a race all season long.

Unless you leave it stock you aren't invited.

I have never had more fun racing than with those virtually identical cars. You really had to earn each pass.

Re: It's July...

Tom we will send you alignment specs that you need to follow. Changes in tire pressure are allowed as long as you share what you changed and why before you race.

There is a mr2 only road race in the UK I think we basically follow those rules. The UK guys also look like they have just as tight racing as Shane and I do... just 30 cars of it. I considered moving to the UK for a moment.

Good race but I think ice racing all ready looks like that, dive bomb passes ending in spins, weird lines resulting in contact etc etc.

I truly would love to have a spec road race class like that here(or miata,e30,rabbit,focus or or),I wanna go road race BAAAD but the GT sprints just don't do it for me....yet.

Re: It's July...

Looking for another V8 to put in... Also, I'll actually buy new SS tires. Hoping to taste the tears of MR2's.

I was on used tires all year too Timmy. I plan to stomp all over that wanna-be MR2.

You must know by now that the fluids are intended to remain IN the engine right?

You must also know that new tires each year are mandatory to run at the front.

Re: It's July...

Bah. I ran a set of used tires on the MR2 last year. Brian cheated and had new ones.
