FS: Maximum Motorsports Suspension + More

Selling a ton of suspension parts I purchased from Maximum Motorsports in spring of 2013 . Sadly, I never got the chance to install the parts and use them and they have been sitting on me since.

Hence everything is pretty much new, aside from scratches from basic pre-assembly (did a pre-assemble to minimize car downtime), which you can see pictures of in the post. I can email more pictures at request.

Ideally, these parts are for weekend track cars or full out racing mustangs; they can be used on daily drivers but I don't know how comfortable the ride would be at that point.

These parts work on all mustangs in the year range of 1999-2004. While some parts work on 1987 thru 2004.

NOTE: I'm limited to 5 pictures in this post, so I've provided a link to my photobucket library - if you have difficulty accessing or viewing pics let me know.

Re: FS: Maximum Motorsports Suspension + More

Bump!

I've temporarily knocked down the prices on all parts until I sort some stuff out and list on ebay.

PM me if you are interested.

Thanks!

*Edit: New prices will be permanent - most parts now are priced lower than what can be found in the states.

Will most of these parts work on pre 87 mustangs?

No, they work on 1987 mustangs and up. Except for the hypercoil springs they should be pretty universal in that aspect

Re: FS: Maximum Motorsports Suspension + More

If you have a 1986 GT 5.0 Mustang you can swap out the spindles for 87-93 spindles, then you can use many of the suspension parts as such (check with Mike Coulter at Maximum Motorsports for the skinny on doing this and making sure things go well). This also gets you the bigger rotors on the front and makes it easy to find aggressive brake pads (I run those brake lathe like Hawke Blue pads, at the track only).

I did exactly that on my 1986 GT 5.0 Mustang Hatch and was able to put on all the MM3 stuff, etc. To use the 87-93 spindles and the MM bump steer kit you have to drill out the holes where the steering rack hooks up on the spindle but it is not a problem if you have a regular drill press (I would volunteer to drill out the holes for free if this would help with a sale).

All of these parts make a big difference on a Fox Body Mustang, I know from personal experience.

Re: FS: Maximum Motorsports Suspension + More

I recently purchased all the 5 lug conversion off the 94-04 mustang gt for the front and rear ( spindles, brakes, calipers, axle, etc) for the car. The offset steering bushings and steering rack, you are correct on that. I am pretty sure the shocks and springs will work, have to verify to see if the parts will work.

Re: FS: Maximum Motorsports Suspension + More

That sounds like a plan sir, good luck with that Capri.

The NASA site has a section for the American Iron series in the U.S., lots of racers on there that run Fox Body cars, there is a lot of information there on what they have done to their cars, and also information on how to take those hubs apart that you have bought (and load them with some quality grease).

Post some pictures as you go along, that would be interesting.

I am continuing to work on my beloved Stang too, am currently gathering more parts, picked up a set of new dropped spindles, a panhard bar, planning on lowering the car a bit more too (it's pretty low now but still too high for my liking). Bought a Taylor made box for my battery, going to put the battery in the back seat area to move a bit of weight around too.

MM's tech personell would be a great asset for you as DavidSim mentioned, they personally assisted me in various measurements and setups and what I need and don't need.

If they give you the go-ahead for whatever I have up for sale give me a shout

You're both making me miss my stang lol I'll make sure to check out and follow your build threads!

Cheers
