Re: 2019 Class Changes

Personally I like the new classes, it drops my base class from SSP to SS.

I thought the Exige was listed in SS in the 2018 rule book?

Re: 2019 Class Changes

There are several Exige versions that the rulebooks describe. Exige nonS (190hp), Exige S(220hp), Exige S240(240hp), Exige S260(260hp), Exige Club Racer(260hp, light weight). My Exige S240 is in the middle of this group, formerly everything above the nonS variant was in SSP, but now only the S260 and above are in SSP.

Unfortunately the factory stock tires are treadwear 60 so a "stock" Exige of any variant can't run in SS unless the tires are downgraded to treadwear 200. and the car is not eligible for SSR, so ultimately it gets forced back to SSP.

I can't even think what class SCCA will need to create when Lotus brings the current generation Exige S430 (430 hp) to North america in 2020.
