Re: Im new and need help
Quote:
The requirements for licensing are in the rule book (Race Regulations, Appendix 'B' and Appendix 'G'): http://www.casc.on.ca/sites/default/...egulations.pdf You must pass a written exam, and possess a certificate indicating you have passed a race school (not a certificate of participation). For CASC-OR licenses, there is also a medical exam. Typically, the school will cover the theory & practice of high performance driving, the rule book (especially the flag rules), race organization & officials, passing and race starts. For CASC-OR schools, the exam is written on the second day of the school. The school is pass/fail; some students don't make the cut for various reasons, including failing the exam.

Re: Im new and need help
I would like to add that you should make sure that the car you take to the race school is in good condition and has no "issues." There have been instances where students have failed the school because of vehicle issues which prevented them from mastering one or more of the required driving techniques.
