OTA and COMSCC

COMSCC is running at Mosport for a 2-day HPDE/Time Trial event on July 30-31. This event conveniently follows the CASC Ontario Time Attack event on July 28-29. That could mean 4 amazing days at Mosport for ambitious drivers. Day 1 (July 30) will be your typical "school/HPDE"
day with experienced instructors, and Day 2 will be our practice/Time Trial day for drivers "safe to solo".

COMSCC is one of the oldest non-profit sports car and time trial clubs in the US, and is open to drivers and sports car enthusiasts of all abilities. We are generally known in the Northeastern US as fast and courteous drivers.

Registration Site Link: http://comscc.carclubreg.com/comscc/Events.aspx?LID=2

Basic Info:

Where: Mosport, Clarington, ON, CA
When: July 30-31
Who: COMSCC
What: HPDE (day 1) and Time Trial (day 2* for drivers deemed safe to solo and instructors) How Much: $225/day (USD) or $425/2-day + $35 COMSCC annual membership fee for new members (however, new members get $100 towards their first
event)

In the past we have had typically low attendance, affording TONS of track time for drivers (most of our club has to make a 10 hour trip from Massachusetts). We have had past events where drivers experienced literally HOURS of track time.

Some of their members might run with us on the 28th and 29th and some of our members might want to stay after our event on the 29th to run with them. It is a reciprocal arrangement between the two organizations.

Re: OTA and COMSCC

I had the opportunity to run with COMSCC at Mont Tremblant in 2010. They run very safe events, very well organized and have top notch instructors. If you have the time you won't be disappointed.

Re: OTA and COMSCC

In 2010 COMSCC partnered with ASE in Montreal. Each club's competition licenses were recognized and members could simultaneously run in their own club's Time Attack series while sharing the track, we respected the hosting clubs' rules and series while sharing costs.

COMSCC does not have any reciprocal arrangements with OTA but welcomes anyone interested in staying on at Mosport. COMSCC has ~42 attendees for their July 30-31 event, so expect 2-3 run groups sharing 8 hours of track time per day. The Time Attack (1 warm up lap, 3 hot laps) takes ~ 2 hours but the remaining time will be practice and/or open track. There is a BBQ after the 1st day and instructors are available to anyone who needs or requests one.

And yes, COMSCC will be going to Watkins Glen in September, same event format. There is a $100 "new member discount" and also credits for those who attend more than 1 event. You can find information at the COM web site (http://www.comscc.org) or at the COM registration site (http://comscc.carclubreg.com). Thanks for the bandwidth.

"It is a reciprocal arrangement between the two organizations. "

"COMSCC does not have any reciprocal arrangements with OTA"

Shouldnt this be moved to non sanctioned events section? like CSCS ect....?

Re: OTA and COMSCC

This is a CASC-OR Ontario Time Attack sanctioned event. It is a reciprocal invitation made between the two organizations since they are back-to-back events being run at CTMP.
