2017 Civic Type R Classification

Okay I am going to have this car sometime in June or July, wondering how it will be classed?

The car has a reported weight of 3000lbs makes 306hp and 296tq I believe.
Tires are a 240 rating

If I had to guess on power to weight ratio it will be GT1?

What does everyone else think?

I may run it in one event this year, just for fun!

Grant

Plug your info into the CCDB Grant. You'll find out what class.

Re: 2017 Civic Type R Classification

This would make it the same class as new M2

Faster than a 2007 Corvette Z06 on Nurburgring by 6 seconds. Wonder if the R had slicks or street tires?

Grant; I can't wait to see you burn up the track.

According to this article it had street tires (Cup 2's): http://blog.caranddriver.com/2017-ho...-record-video/

Sweet car, hope to see it out at the track!
