Re: It's July...

Considering how close the start of the season is its pretty damn quiet on this forum, finally have the new engine in,front suspension all back together and aligned, most of the wiring is done and it should hopefully run after tomorrows time in the shop.
I think I have as much work in just redoing the car for this year as most do in 5 years.

Re: It's July...

My car is almost done. We haven't even started on Brian's and that car was in worse shape than mine. Still somehow going to make it to pre-tech though.

Not going to be any faster but I think we caught everything that would have failed on the first weekend.

Re: It's July...

Shane what have you guys been doing?,I prepped Jeffs car months ago.(which btw I keep forgetting I'm supposed to drive and chase you guys around)

Andy I figured for sure I'd get something about not roaring too loud.

I promise the new exhaust won't be too loud, last years set up was too quiet and sounded like a sled so I had to fix that.

Re: It's July...

My car ended up being full of issues. Coolant lines rusted out, leaking gas tank, starter dead, alternator back feeding and draining the battery, broken windshield, seized tie-rods, etc, etc. Had to get creative with some of it.

Re: It's July...

Car awoke today after a 2 year nap near a field. $10 in gaz, a fresh battery, and a ghetto negative battery cable repair (20ga wire and some alligator clips) brought it to life. It fired right up, and then somehow got stuck out in the field. Time to get to work.
