Soggy Road America

Well, its pouring rain this morning along with lots of thunder and lightning here at Road America. Supposed to last all day and clear up for tomorrow.

Lots of great racing action this weekend including IndyCar, ALMS, Prototype Lites, GT3 Cup and Trans Am. 32 ALMS entries, 31 Cup and 21 Lites - its going to be a great weekend - once it dries up some!!

Spent 12 hours getting here - delayed flights and missed connections translating into a pretty long day.

Gas prices are $3.89/gallon. However, that is more than balanced by the price of beer - 4 Tall Boy Ice Beer 5.9% for $2.69!!! Yee haw!!

Re: Soggy Road America

Also, this track is in the Top 5 as far as food goes. This morning I had an omelette that had to have been built with at least 12 eggs, big chunks of ham, green pepper, onion and cheese PLUS 3 hash browns PLUS a blueberry muffin the size of my head. All for $9.00!!!!

And at least once this weekend I'll be stepping up for the corn on the cob program which they completely immerse in a huge tub of melted butter before handing it over. OMG good!!! Yes, I'll be doubling up my bacon pills for the next few days to conteract the effects!!!
