going to USA with race car - documents?

Hello all, I am planning to take my personal property race car to a US track day event.
NO VIN, no ownership, one off race car.
What papers/documents or boarder crossing prep should I have.

Any one know or direct me to a website.
Regards,

I have gone to Watkins Glen a number of times, never with any issues. A suggestion would be to photo/video your car and equipment before your go, to show what you are taking and bringing back.

Stop at the Canadian customs office just before you cross.
I always cross at Queenston or port Huron.

Ask for a green card (temporary export card).
They will record you vehicles ID And sign and stamp.
You get it once and itís good forever.
They may want to go see it (curiosity) or they may just ask you for the ID number. Take a picture on you phone just in case.

You can show it to the US officials if they start giving you grief, (most officers
Donít know it exists)
And the Canadian officer may ask for it upon your return.

I race scca 6+ a year, and cross all the time with a full rig.
I donít cross without mine.
Technically any big ticket item on a serial number should be on the card.
