Serious question, not tweaking anyone - if you were going to suggest a way to keep people in the loop in addition to the hotline, what would it be?

I was mostly joking around.

Everyone has to log in with an e-mail address on the casc website.
Therefore a single mass email and you are done, well mostly everyone.
it's not the method necessarily but the timing, and I'm only going to speak for myself, but Thursday night at say 9pm vs Friday at 12pm can't be much different to the track, but makes a huge difference if you have to book time of work.
Even Friday at 7am is doable, as most can call in and change their vacation time. There are other things like making plans with family.

I'm sure Tom P has a Farmers Almanac in one hand, a smart phone with weather network in the other (nature of snow removal business), and 20 years (?) of track building experience and can make the call for 3 weeks from now. no?

We get bus cancelations from the school board via Twitter. We also get mass text message's from the teachers for reminders and updates. You have to sign up but it's not hard. The text one is called Remind.

Re: TRACK sTATUS

Folks:

I just dropped a car at the track. Unsuprisingly, what is happening in the center of the universe as we know it is not what is happening elsewhere. In Minden, there is snow. Lots and lots of it. The track looks fine. It is covered with the snow that has fallen this week. The pits are snowy, not muddy. So, chill. Book your room. Bring your car and helmet. I believe we are gonna race.

Again, it's not the method, it's the timing. Doesn't matter now, can't wait to get going!
