Calabogie Weekend Lodging and other Info

Hi Folks! I've never been to Calabogie and I'm looking for some familiarization with the area.

#1: I usually prefer private bed and breakfast or Condo rentals away from the public with low driveway approach angles and lots of turning area since I usually drive my splitter equipped car with steering limiters hauling a trailer. Consider speed bumps impassable for preference sake. Any suggestions?

#2: In case I don't rent an enclosed trailer, is there a local VP Racing Fuels distributor, and do they deliver barrels to the track? If VP is not available in the area, how do I arrange Pro Race Fuels MKII or above?

#3: Can't miss dining suggestions?

Thanks!

Sent this to a friend that lives in Ottawa and has spent a fair amount of time at Calabogie, I'll let you know what he comes back with.

When we race there, most teams typically rent a cottage. Maybe it's worth getting small groups together to all pitch on a rental for the weekend?

We use this site: Calabogie Cottage Rentals

Calabogie is basically a small sleepy village, there isn't much there as far as choice.

I don't think VP supplies in Ottawa, I could be wrong but Stinsons does 110 octane, maybe more. The track can arrange for some fuels.

Must eat places? LOL nope not really anything special, the pizza place is good though.

Sleep at the track, bring your own food and fuel.

I'd be down for that. I'm sure the track would let us keep our trailer queens there overnight?

Calabogie has 4 condos at the track available for rent, call Jane and she can hook you up with the details.

Call Stinsons Arnprior, not far from the track, they have sold VP in the past.
HWY 17 & WHITE LAKE RD. Arnprior, ON (613) 623-6473. They might even be able to deliver.

They have 94 and 98 at the pump as well.

The blue Onion was opened last summer, it's a great place to eat.

The library is a popular choice, close to the track too.

I have stayed with these folks in the past. They do have some great cottages and rooms in the motel, large rooms with BBQ's and kitchens.

The last time I was there I did manage to part a truck and trailer in to lot without much issue.

Regards

Re: Calabogie Weekend Lodging and other Info

Don't worry about your truck and trailer.

Head over to the track, park the trailer if you need to and go back. Or leave both and car pool. It's pretty rare you can't just leave it there.
