2018 GT Challenge info please

Does anyone have the following info, or know where it can be found?

- What weekends will GT Challenge run?
- Is it Saturday? Sunday? Mix?
- How long are the races? Fuel stops?
- What are the rules for multiple drivers? Does the "team" accumulate points regardless of whether either one or both drivers compete in a given event?
- Is there a championship? If so, how many events count? 5 of 7, all of them?

We cannot find any information on the CASC-OR web site ...

Hi Arek. GT Challenge

May 11-13 CTMP is a 1 hour
June 1-3 CMP is 80 min.
July 6-8 SMP is not on the calendar
July 27-29 CTMP to be determined
Aug. 24-26 CMP is 80 minutes
Sept.14-16 CTMP is 3 hr.
Sept. 28-30 CTMP is 3 hr.

The rule book will be available in a day or so.

Hope that helps...

Thanks Terry.

Confusing.

I did see your thread before but I had assumed this was promoting that weekend as a Calabogie weekend. The 2018 Schedule was released back in September as shown in my link. It was also presented again in the November Drivers meeting and the race was not included then either.

I dont recall seeing any further announcement adding the June race to the schedule. Unfortunately I have booked to be out of country.

That's unfortunate, Doug. Possibly going to be the largest combined grid of the GT Challenge season with SuperProduction Challenge running at the same time!

Come on out for the Ted Powell Race in August! Another 80 minute CASC-OR GT Challenge Championship Race! Hope you can make that one!!

The clubs are still working those details out.
As soon as things get finalized they will be published.

Eric - the Kyle Nash and Ted Powell GT Challenge Races are both on Sunday.

Do a second entry and also run the GT Sprints for a total of 215 minutes of on-track time!

Plus the Friday Test Day!!!!

August is a maybe, depends on how the summer works out. My first attempt at the track was a huge embarrassment. 10 seconds off the class pace and missed the 1 hr race start so a lap down. lol At least I found out my times were due to chassis failure!! not my driving. lmao
