Swirl Pot / Surge tank

I need to do something with my fuel system to help keep me from fuel starving on corners .

Now my question is being my car is a hatch in terms of making a "fire wall" to enclose it from the rest of the passenger comparment would making the swirl pot / surge tank small enough to fit into my spare tire well and making lid to cover it ( sealed but removeable for service / inspection ) be sufficiant?

From what i've found in the rule book i'll end up takin a 1.5? pip slap for it even though there is no performance gain for my car other than the car won't die in the corners from fuel starvation

any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated
