Infrared Tire Temperature Sensor and Data Logger
I would just like to inform everybody of Western Engineering Design Days & Final Presentations. This is an event held anually at the University of Western Ontario as a showcase for engineering projects. Each year 4th year engineering students from all disciplines (Civil, chemical, computer, etc) must complete a full-year design project.
Ryan Harrison (posts as "BigPune") and myself (Matt Geerts) designed an Infrared Tire Temperature Sensor and Data Logger and presented it to faculty. We have been chosen among the Computer Engineers to receive an award as the best presentation and we will be presenting again at the Engineering Design Days. We'd like to invite anyone interested in engineering in general, or who would like to see our project to come to Western Campus on Thursday March 22, 2007. Presentations begin at 4:30pm and we will be presenting at 5:55pm. The event takes place at the Spencer Engineering Building in the new addition room number 1200. If you don't know where that is, just ask a parking attendant or people near the engineering building (or just PM one of us beforehand). -Matt |

I think there is free food after the presentations.
I have attached the program for the event if you want some more info. Cheers, Ryan |

Re: Infrared Tire Temperature Sensor and Data Logger
Matt, I'm curious. Why wouldn't you post this on the WOSCA forum where the people are actually in London? I'm sure many would love in an invite, including our several Western Allumni and current students.

Re: Infrared Tire Temperature Sensor and Data Logger
BRAVO & WELL DONE. I am sure that I am just one of many who have followed the train of thought that has developed on this forum regarding your data loggers. It is great to see theory & application come together. When do we get to play in real time?

Re: Infrared Tire Temperature Sensor and Data Logger
The system should be strapped to whatever car I'm racing this season. You'll be able to check it out first-hand then.
I'm tied up with school work right now (even typing this is procrastinating) so I'll post on the WOSCA forum when I get a chance. Thanks for the congrats We're very happy about this. Hopefully it can land us both jobs in the performance automotive electronics sector
