What's the offset? If they'll fit a Prelude, post it on TPC's site. (and I think most S2000 fitments will fit a Prelude)

The offset is 45mm on both front and rear. Will that work on a Prelude?

As long as they are 5 x 114.3 then the 7" will definitely work, I'm not sure about the 8". I'll post a link in the forsale section to this post...

What are you asking? I'm in Brampton too.. we could do a quick swap to see how they fit.

They are low mileage and in excellent condition. You can try them for fit and clearance but there arn't any tires on them now. Paid over $1600 for them new, so asking $1000. Call me at 905 846 3925.

Thanks guys but I'm going to pass. I don't think I can use same size tires on the rear rims and I don't want to run different size tires front/rear. Good luck with the sale.

Hi Jarek

Front drive cars tend to understeer because all the weight is on the Front wheels, and the front wheels both steer and pull the car. The rears only hold the lightest part of the car, off the ground. Based on many years of Championship winning Solo1 and Solo2, we have found that on the track the smaller rear wheels with smaller tires helps the car rotate, hence overcoming the inherent understeer of Front drive cars. If you use the same size tires on both front and rear you will not notice the difference(eg. 225/50/16) in handling. I doubt you would even notice a visual difference between front and rear, if you were not looking for a deifference. If you want to do some lapping, or Solo competition, you can install 245/45/16 tires on the front 8" wheels for that competitive advantage.

What do you plan to use the wheels for?

Regards,

John

Damn, that's a good point! Wish us Prelude SH guys could exploit it, but I think the ATTS system would go nuts trying to figure out what's going on with the wheels. Hmm, might be a good thing to try on non-SH Preludes.

You may want to try it on either SH or non SH versions. It may not make a big difference to the system.

The ATTS system is anybody's guess. 225/45-15 on 15 x 7" with 38mm offset worked fine. 225/50-15 and 225/45-15 on 45 mm offset works fine, but 225/50-16 on STOCK rims, completely screwed up ATTS to the point of making driving next to impossible with it connected. I think it's more of a diameter issue than an offset issue, but I have little to back that up with.
