Re: insurance - cube van

Not a cube van, but ING Insurance covered my old GMC 3500 dually flat bed farm truck, so maybe try them.

Re: insurance - cube van

looks like i got through with State Farm. Thanks for the reply. State Farm was the 9th company I called.

When i called the company i'm with now (belair), they not only told me that i couldn't get my cube insured with them, but they raised the rates on my car by 240/yr because i told them i live in london now. Bastards.

Re: insurance - cube van

drop belair rightnow and go to ING, you`ll save the increase and get cheaper rates, sounds like your broker is working for the company not you like it should be

Re: insurance - cube van

Yeah, after that, i'm dropping them immediately. They were actually 1200/yr cheaper than anybody else when I first went with them, but now that I've got a longer driving record, obviously they're not helping me.

Funny, i got a letter in the mail from them a few months ago saying i went from a 6 star to a 7 star driver (hooray) oh, and they increased my rates from 120/mo to 139/mo at the same time... wtf?

Where were you before you moved? Rating areas can make a real big difference in what you pay.

Georgetown. I must admit that there are more accidents here... but that one phone call was a sure way to lose a customer. "No, we can't help you, and in fact, we're charging you more"... thanks buddy... thanks.

Re: insurance - cube van

So far I've been pretty happy with State Farm. They've covered me for things that no other company would touch, and their rates have been good .

The only negative "I've heard" (not experienced) is that they really penalize people for things such as accident claims . Not sure if that's true or not, but hey, what company doesn't do that anymore?!

Re: insurance - cube van

State farm screwed me good when way back Mom drove my truck into the front end of a sunbird, writing off both vehicles , you could not find a replacement for less than 6G`s and they said I was getting 1500, even though the truck was mint, I had to refuse to release the truck from the towing company forcing them to pay enormous storage rates for 15 months untill they finally came back with 3000, and at that time I needed the cash to buy my 71 cougar, just be warned if you claim with them, I`m not the only one that went thru hell with them the list is long.
thats going back 19 yrs

Re: insurance - cube van

Will keep that in mind. i'llhave to read up on their policies for that stuff. I did end up with State farm. I'm getting both ofmy cars insured through them and life insurance, renters insurance, and its all for about 350/mo.

I got the truck last night. Its big. wow is it big. I've diven pickups with full trailers before, but this thing is big. Ramp needs some mods to get my low low honda into it, but its all good.
