1986 Honda CRX ITB Race car

This race car was originally built by Mark Beauregard about 8 years ago. He took approx. 2 years to build it. The chassis was completely striped and put on a rotisserie for the buildup process. During the original build, he spared no expense and rebuilt or replaced just about every component on this car. The original build was documented in photos and was the pinnacle IT example, highlighted in the Tech section of the Improved Touring website. This race car was originally built to contest the SCCA ITC class. I bought it in 2002 and raced it regionally here winning the ITC Championship for 3 straight years. Since then, I modified it to race in the ITB class complete with a Si fuel injected engine. Last year I built a brand new engine and was out just one time only. I modified the engine and brakes to race in the GT5 class. This car is extremely well built and is in near perfect condition. It has never been wrecked and the only damage it suffered was very minor. Car was repainted 2 years ago. The only current damage is a wrinkled hood. (buddy forgot to put the hood pins in and the hood took out the windshield – hence new windshield).

I am now considering my racing options and am offering this race car for a very low price. The original build was in access of $25K and I will now sell it for just $7K firm. I have a huge/extensive spare parts package that is included with this car. For a low extra cost, I will include several extra wheels and several new Toyo RA-1 tires. Please look at all the photos showing the original build as well as its current condition. Currently, this race car needs nothing and is absolutely 100% race ready. I cannot describe everything that was installed in this racecar. Please view the photos. If you have any questions, simply let me know and I will respond. To modify it back to IT legal, all it would require is the stock Si cam reinstalled and the stock front brakes reinstalled. Below is an extensive list of its description.

Engine; 1500cc 12V MPFI Si (one race weekend). New .040” pistons, rings, bearings, gaskets, seals, timing belt, water pump, etc. Cylinder head has all new valves, seals, etc. Colt Cams Tri-flow cam. DC Sports header & 2-1/4” exhaust w/ high flow muffler. MSD ignition. Dual core Fluidyne alum radiator, new alternator.

Gearbox; 4.97 FD with OPM limited slip. New axle seals.

Rollcage; 1-1/2x.095” DOM, multipoint, c/w NASCAR door bars.

Fuel Cell; ATL 10 gal c/w electric fuel pump & all Aeroquip hoses/fittings.

Safety; Aluminum Kirkey Intermediate Road Race seat, 5-point harness & window net. fire extinguisher.

Brakes; New Integra front brake rotors, calipers, New Carbotech (Panther) brake pads, SS brake lines with new race DOT 3 brake fluid. Rear brakes are OEM drum. Adjustable brake bias lever.

Suspension; Adjustable front camber plates, Custom adjustable rear sway bar, Jackson Racing Torsion bars. Rear drums shimmed for neg. camber, Adjustable panhard bar. Koni Sport (revalved & shortened) dampers, Eibach rear springs.

Wheels/Tires; Alum wheel spacers w/ ARP extended wheel studs, 4 Panasport 13x6 rims w/ 4 Toyo Proxes RA-1 205/60R13 tires @ 70% tread left.

Misc; Stack Dash (ST8100 Display System) Displays the following: Rev’s, oil press + (low warning), water temp + (high warning), oil temp + (high warning), battery, fuel press, gear shift light. For speed and lap times you require a sensor.

Momo removable steering wheel, Wink rear view mirror, side window air vents/tubes.
Custom front strut bar. New windshield.
