Thank you from Calabogie Motorsports Park
Wow - I've had some hectic race weekends but this year's Ted Powell takes the cake. On behalf of all of us at Calabogie Motorsports Park I want to thank everyone who came out this weekend to put on a great show, one we will be talking about for quite a while.
It was great to see old friends, and to make new ones, and it was even more fun on track. Aplogies to Libre and G70 - I can't seem to control the Calabogie weather the way I want, it was supposed to rain for GT and then dry up for you. See you all at the next one. Oh, almost forgot - that is also the cleanest paddock I've ever seen after a big event weekend, we weren't too far behind everyone getting out of there. I'm a little worried though, we left Handsome Ray in pretty good company ...

Re: Thank you from Calabogie Motorsports Park
Bruce
To you & your staff, thanks for your hospitality on the weekend. Not having been to the track since the Goodwood in the Valley event your first year, Darlene & I were very impressed with all the changes that have been made. Don't worry about Handsome Ray - unless he is drag racing scooters through your paddock! BTW, can't you get any closer to the wall going into corner 2? Of course having to repaint the side of the Mustang after every event might not be a great option! I think I will create a gallery on our website from the weekend called "How close can you get?" & yours will be the first picture!Vic

Re: Thank you from Calabogie Motorsports Park
Fantastic weekend! Thanks to all involved, organaizers and volunteers. I was dreading facing major delays and chaos with so many entries, but to my eyes, it went off without a hitch! Thanks MCO and CMP!
I just wish it would have rained for the CCTCC race ... we had lots of practice in the rain!

Bruce, firstly, thanks for the tours
. The facility looks awesome, you've done a great job. Hats off also to MCO. They did a fantastic job this year to keep everything running quite smoothly from what we saw.

Re: Thank you from Calabogie Motorsports Park
Well done to CMP and MCO on the weekend. We had big (for us) Libre grids, and a good time in general.
Bruce, no worries about the rain in the last race. I'm not the biggest fan of racing in the rain, but I'm now 2 for 2 in rain races at Calabogie, so maybe I should change my tune a little. ![]() -Matt |

Re: Thank you from Calabogie Motorsports Park
Great job everyone, not an easy task to pull off with all the entries. Everything was top Notch. This is by far our favorite venue to attend.
Thanks again for all the track tips Bruce, can't wait to use them against you when you run your Porsche in GT1. Looking forward to running the Full track again next year. Nigel |

A huge thanks to all at CMP!!! Awesome facility, challenging track and great competition. What more could you ask for?
I look forward to being there next year and would love to see a second event. Don't worry about Handsome Ray. The gates were locked to keep him in so the town of Calabogie was safe. We kept him on the straight and narrow. Great event.

Re: Thank you from Calabogie Motorsports Park
Bruce, nice chatting with you Thursday evening. I was waiting for one of us to get carried away by the mosquitoes. What you have done with your facility in the short time that you did it in is amazing. You have a first class facility and a track that in my opinion has set the bar for some of the future race tracks.
I would like to thank everyone involved that made this a great weekend. Lofora. My bus was parked at the end that the Solstice tried to take a shortcut through the rough. He beached the engine on the dirt. Track support came to the rescue with a barrage of equipment. After pondering how to extract this vehicle the New Holland tractor was called in for the rescue. Straps were passed through both front wheel spokes and the car was lifted and pushed rearward. Away he went. This was quite entertaining. Once again thank you to all involved. Andy |

Re: Thank you from Calabogie Motorsports Park
On behalf of the MCO club and the TP race weekend team a heart felt thanks to everyone that raced this year. I raced myself but we had two drivers and a crew so I was able to walk and talk. To our friends from Quebec thank you for coming out and driving this incredible track side by side with us. To our friends from Nova Scotia see you again next year. Sorry about everyone who got pinched for sound on the weekend. Your bad. To Stand 21 sorry about the mixup and late dicussion. Talk to me for next year.
A huge thank you to Chuck Payne, Luc Bouchard and the MCO instructor team for the lapping day . An unqualified success in spite of weather. Many people spoke to me about how they learned so much driving in the rain. To JP Walsh, what can anyone say. Always there, always helping. Laugh of the weekend. Luc Saumure in pit lane " I don't need an expensive radar gun. All I need is a hair dryer. same reaction." I enjoyed the break from my computer. I have tons of emails pouring in on the events. See you on track.
