I had heard a rumour Dunville was shut down due to a lawsuit?
Can anyone confirm this and does anyone know what is happening to round 3 of the ATTS series? I beleive Shannonville might be available if needed.....

Hi Bill,

I sent out a bulletin to all ATTS competitors on Thursday last week. It's more than a rumour, they have ceased operations.

Please let me know if it's in your mail at work. If not, I"ll resend it to everyone again.

By Tuesday this week we should know of the alternate venue. Arrangements are being made as we speak. As it sits, October 18th is the only available date, so it's getting pushed out to be the last event of the ATTS.

The next event ATTS 4 becomes ATTS 3 - Drags at TMP, that has not changed.

Losing Dunnville is unfortunate.

Why not book the TMP road course the same day as the drag event and do both events at the same time?

Event: ATTS - 3 Touge
Location: Toronto Motorsports Park
Date: October 18, 2009

The venue provides a mix of ultra high speeds coupled with technical sections. In addition, this venue provides excellent visibility for spectators to monitor the activities of the competitors. We will be modifying the ATTS Website to reflect the changes, and your points will cary over to that event.

Touge at Toronto Motorsports Park will be exciting, as we can put the 2 start / finish lines in plain view of the spectators, with absolute safety in mind. In addition, the tight sections of the infield provides areas where "strategy" can be played out by the competitors.


All this talk of strategy... ie knowing you have a more powerful car than your competitor and dogging it around a corner, then pinning it on the final straight. I know there is no passing allowed so depending on how strategic people plan on being, this may just turn into a drag race down the final straight. Is there going to be anything preventing this? I'm not trying to cause a huge stink or anything but I would hate to see it happen to that extreme so just curious.

I'll be sure to bring some snow tires & mittens lol.

Pretty sure the Z isn't going to have an issue with people pulling away on the straights. I think it would take a hell of a miss-match to pull far enough away anyways. I don't think the starting / finishing gap is going to be that tight.

I hope we can dog it down the straights and then pull away in the tights spots.

Keep in mind the spirit of Touge, narrow roads and surprise bridges. There will be additions of narrow brisges (using cones) in strategic areas. Drag race to the finish will not occur.
