Brake caliper rebuild kits

I'm looking for piston boots for a PBR caliper on my 2009 Pontiac G8GT. Any suggestions as to who might have these things?

Local Chev dealer can only order caliper, no rebuild kit available. PartSource has no listing. Only response on the G8 Forum is a Florida speed shop that says they have a kit. I was hoping I might find a local source otherwise I guess I'll have to go with that option.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks,
Matt

Re: Brake caliper rebuild kits

I assume the boots are cooked.

Since you have a PBR caliper, it seems possible it was made for other cars. Not sure which ones though.

Re: Brake caliper rebuild kits

I checked on AC Delco and Rock Auto website and they don't even list calipers for a G8 http://www.rockauto.com/catalog/raframecatalog.php
http://webcaps.ecomm.gm.com/canada/Vehicle.jsp
Which really bites, but Dave is right something else likely uses the same caliper pistons and boots. Just a question of what.

Re: Brake caliper rebuild kits

Yeah the boots cooked on the outside front left caliper. I guess it takes the most load from all the clockwise courses. One of the pistons was starting to drag so I took the caliper apart, cleaned it up and rebuilt it. Still enough left of the boot to provide some protection but I need to replace them.

Yeah, I'm hoping there is some common part with PBR. I'll talk to the Florida speed shop and get them to send me some.
