2010 Toyo Tires Championship

2010 marks the third year that Toyo has demonstrated a strong commitment as well as increased support for grassroots motorsports, which see them move to a CASC-OR title sponsor for 2010.

This marks the second year of the Toyo Tires Championship, which is a competition within CASC’s provincial championships. The Championship is open to any and all competitors in the following series; The Mobil 1 AutoSlalom Championship presented by Toyo Tires, The Mobil 1 SoloSprint Time Trials Championship presented by Toyo Tires, The Race Ontario GT Sprints Championships presented by Toyo Tires & the GT Challenge presented by Toyo Tires.

Eligible competitors in Autoslalom or SoloSprint must compete solely on either Toyo Proxes R888 or Toyo Proxes R1R for the entire 2010 competition season. Eligible competitors in GT Sprints or GT Challenge must compete solely on Toyo Proxes R888's for the entire 2010 competition season.

The tires used in competition must be/have been purchased from a Canadian authorized R-Group dealer and have the Canadian “Stamp” on the sidewall. For 2010 only, if you have inventory of Toyo Proxes R888 or Toyo Proxes R1R tires previously purchased in Canada, and can provide proof of purchase, these tires will be eligible for the championship.

Trophies and contingency prizes will be awarded to the top 3 competitors in points who compete exclusively on eligible Toyo tires and scored by the same points structure as the Provincial Championships. A trophy will also be awarded to the top rookie finisher that accumulated points while competing exclusively on eligible Toyo tires.

Update: Toyo has decided that they will allow RA1's to be used in the Toyo Championships until June 1, 2010.
