Post Events 2 & 3 - Results now posted - SPDA, St.Lac, Picton

Great turnouts for both days, nearly 1200 timed runs over both days, only a sprinkle of rain throughout the weekend, I like it when the weather man is wrong.

Congrats to Paul K for sweeping FTD and overall wins on both days. He now lead the overall standings by 0.28 points over Tasko.

Head on over to the old site http://solo2.casc.on.ca/index.php to take a look at the results, they'll only be posted there until the new site starts to function properly.

Plently of exercise was given to the marshalls out on course. On day 1, we had 445 cones hit, spread over 262 runs. The majority (158 cars) hit one cone, 57 clipped two cones, 26 three cones, and 21 cars demolished 4 or more cones.
On day 2 even though it seemed busier, there was less time between cars, so we could finish sooner - and reduce the time spent marshalling, everyone did well considering we had 8 fewer reruns then the day before. The number of cones hit (212) dropped by more then half compared to the day before, spread over 150 runs. With the majority (112 cars) hitting only one cone. We had 7 cars that decimated 4 cones or more.

If you notice any error's or omissions in the results/points please send me a pm.

Looking forward to event 4 in Barrie at the Molson Centre, Sunday June 12th.

Cliff, thank you for getting the results posted so quickly!

Also, a huge thanks to all of the timers, organizers and volunteers that kept things running smoothly all weekend long. None of this would happen without their hard work.

See you all again in two weeks!

I'm sure there'll be a WILA thread soon, lots of stories to tell.

Thanks for getting the results up really really quickly.

That was quick Cliff. Love the stats breakdown.

Awesome weekend as usual. SPDA and St. Lac did another fantastic job! The school bus was classic!

Good man Cliff. Fantastic weekend and great organisation. 100 cars all getting in 6 runs? Awesome.

I can claim more than my share of the day 1 cones. Think I hit more of those than I did bugs on the way home!

As always, thanks for getting these up so quickly, Cliff!

The weekend was an absolute blast, even if those pesky cones did manage to get the best of me this time around... Next time!!

Holy Crap Paul, 3 and 3.5 seconds? Been doing some work on the Miata or what? Jeez.

Re: Events 2 & 3 - Results now posted - SPDA, St.Lac, Picton

lol... yeah I changed the oil last month for the first time since 01/09

The course designs were awesome!!! a lot of transitions and offset gates which the miatas do well in (see some of the times in CSS ). Even had an awesome 3rd gear - gas to the floor - slalom. I think I had the right tire size for my gearing and was able to get away without a lot of 2nd to 3rd shifts which are tough to do in the miatas.

Wow! Tashko is fast in my car. If offered the right amount of money, I'll retard the timing to slow him down

Re: Events 2 & 3 - Results now posted - SPDA, St.Lac, Picton

looking at the day 1 results it show's me in second but the time I posted is way off from my other runs. The run that put me in second is WAY faster than my average runs which makes me think something isn't right.

I promise NOT to post your pictures on the internet. Specially the ones where you're wearing a speedo while table dancing. Make Him Slower.

What an Awesome weekend!
Also, that run seemed to miss the penalty being added to it, if I read the results right.

The +1 indicates that the time includes one time penalty.
