I bought this cage brand new from Custom Cages and had it shipped first to Ireland and then to Canada.
Custom Cages have a reputation for being the best, I didn’t think twice when building my rally car which cage I wanted having built a few rally cars at home in Ireland.

I am building a Honda Civic EK rally car. The Cage is legal for Rallying the world over according to FIA Article 253 Appendix J… apart from in Canada… where CARS have excluded the part where they recognize certification another body (in this case MSA, despite bing FIA affiliate) (MSA - Motor Sports Authority – UK).
As such, despite much deliberation, I cannot use this cage in a rally car. They treat it as a scratch build… under these rules I cannot use either as the main hoop is 45x2.0mm and not the 45x2.5mm requested.

**Please check it is legal for your race / series… don’t just assume like I did **

Certification:
This Cage also includes a test piece kit. The test piece must be welded by your welder / you and returned to custom cages for quality and strength testing. You will then get the go ahead to install the cage, once installed, photos must be provided to custom cages to show it is exactly as certified. Then, and only then will you get the MSA Certificate. (I can show you copies)
