Open road racing?

Im guessing this casc division isnt like http://www.openroadracing.com/ is it?

No . But I really wish someone would organize something like this in Ontario . In '99 I had a customer serious about building a car specifically for the Nevada event it was an '80 Camaro , 93 miles flat out . Adding up the costs of building the car for the fast class , getting it and the crew down there for about a 10 day stay etc , etc added up to over $80,000 . He was prepared to attemp it until He found out that the first time You compete You could not enter the highest class {it made sense but He couldn't afford to do it twice} So the project was cancelled . Probably for the best He wasn't "that" good of a driver .

Hell, I'll host the event, you just find a venue willing to let us do it, convince our insurance company it will be safe and come up with all the money (you know the easy stuff).

Maybe we can get the goverment of ontario to close off a portion of some deserted open road and let us go crazy But we know that wont happen

Not enough straight deserted roads in Ontario. Most of them have too many deer around them too. No thanks.

Hey if we couldn't organize a Cannonball event in the 80's fearing military intervention , don't think this will ever happen with govenment approval , keep deaming LOL .
Just be happy they don't ban racing altogether .
