Great pictures, Dominic. Those Echos look really cute. Good to see that so many of them came out. They do look a little wobbly, though.

Civic Echo
Those are some awesome shots. It looks like there was a really good turn-out from the Echoes!
I must say, though, that they don't look much more "wobbly" than the few Civics from the new Honda/Michelin series. Does is strike anyone else as odd that we now have TWO rather similar series (H/M Civics and the Echoes) where we had just one (now defunct I might add -- Sentras) a year ago? Who's supporting the Echo program? I have a whole bunch of problems with the current Civic series, not the least of which is a potential new car for 2005, but at least it has some semblance of factory support. Does the Echo series have factory support too? Just curious. _k_ |

For that race we had
18 Touring Hankook 15 Formula Ford Hankook 20 Echo Cup 19 GT (3 GTO and 16 GTU) The Touring is support by Hankook who paid the TV (6 shows including 3-creeks) and the entry fees for the top 20 at each race exept Trois-Rivieres The Formula Ford is support by Hankook too. Hankook paid the TV (6 shows including 3-creeks) and the entry fees for the top 15 at each race exept Trois-Rivieres The Echo Cup is support by the Quebec Toyota Dealers, Pirelli, DAI Alloys, Momo, Cobretti Tuning, Snyper, TRD, Tuning Audio Performance magazine, Lettrage Vision Plus and Copie Rapide. The already sold 25 cars and the promoters expect 30 cars by the end of the year. We still looking for sponsor for the GT Championship All 4 series will be at the Trois-Rivieres Grand-Prix and Mont-Tremblant Fall Classic. Next round, 5th of june at Sanair. Dominic, what are the entry/licence requirements to race with the USTCC at the Fall Classic?

Hankook sure stepped up to the plate in a big way! That shows how much bigger road racing in PQ is compared to Ont.
Now if only there was a way of joining together to create an interprovincial series... |

I'm glad you ask that,
We (Jacques Gravel from Hankook and me) try to put two shootout this year, one at Mosport and one at Tremblant or Trois-Rivieres but the biggest problem we found is 1. the rule = we have a 12 years limit for the models, the head lights are mandatory 2. the tires = Hankook K104 vs Toyo I was sure you still have the Super GT class this year! I had 20 spec Touring Hankook or GT cars that were ready to come at Mosport during the ALMS weekend in the Super GT class so they can keep there Hankook tires or there slick (GT) . But now I don't think they're ready to buy tires for that race only. The fees for the Championship is 295$ taxe in. The entry fees for Trois-Rivieres is 300$ for Touring Cars, 500$ for GT. That included 4 crews and the driver. Mont-Tremblant is 300$that included 4 crews and the driver. Sanair is 150$ including 2 crews, the driver and the BBQ after race day. If you are a Quebec non-resident and you do only one or two races, the entry fee for the championship is 110$ per race. If you have any question you can call me at the Fédération Auto Québec 514.252.3052 ext. 3837 |

quick question, are mufflers required for all/any of the circuits? I heard from someone that this was the case for St. Eustache...

St-Eustache only! It's a BIG problem with that track that's why there's not a lot of GTO cars running there. But Sanair, 3-Creeks and Mont-Tremblant it's open.

sorry, but you're going to have to count us out for st-eustache then. but, we will be out for the following event at trois rivieres, as well as the Fall Classic. Due to having to miss the first two rounds, and less sponsorship this year (Konica-Minolta is restructuring at the moment, making our partnership a little lower on their rank of importance), we have chosen to just focus on the Ontario Challenge Cup sprint series. Therefore we can only make the non-conflicting rounds, trois rivieres and mont-tremblant.

I understand! No problem Malcolm, you're always welcome in the Quebec Championship. It's the same problem for Powell Mts they will miss St-Eustache too.
