Adam, those air strips have 60 year old pavement on them and are largely over-grown with grass and weeds. The place has to be repaved before we can race on it in anything other than a rally car. It's going to be very nice once it's done! Can't wait...

Doesn't the pavement have to cure for 2 months? That's why Calebogie will likely not open this year .... are they just using cheap street pavement, or track pavement?

From what the owner told me, this whole "letting the pavement cure" thing is a bit of a myth. He's a constuction engineer who's worked on sound abatement walls on highways for many years, so I've got to assume he knows something about pavement. *shrug* I have no idea what quality of pavement he plans to use.

Low Rider, what class are you in?

they don't let highways cure? and they take huge truck loads..though the sheer force may be way less?

Scotch, let me know when you plan to leave so we can convoy down. Geez 2 cars - some convoy. Gotta get more drivers - who else is in from Ottawa? What about Mike G, Bruce P, Brad M, Marc J, Chris F, John S, Jonas L?

Is Marc J meaning Marc Julien from Montreal. If it is. I am looking at the event and seeing if it fits into my schedule. I will get back on this thread once I figure it out.
