Weight distribution of a stripped E36?

Hi guys,

Do any of you know front/rear weight distribution of a stripped E36 328i? Stock they are close to 50/50, but completely stripped I'm not sure. Total weight numbers from previous owner are in the 2600-2700 range.

I need a rough estimate to calculate where I need the axles to go on the lightweight trailer I'm making. Trial and error is possible, but it's a royal pita. I'd like to get it close and have to tweak it once if need be.

Thanks!

Re: Weight distribution of a stripped E36?

I am not sure if you are the owner of my old car or not but see the attached photo of my old E36 track car.

This was the second last time it was on the scales. This was with a full tank of fuel and no driver. Only additions afterwards was aero, and that wouldn't mess with the numbers enough to make a difference for your situation.

Hope it helps!
