Parking Brake Removal

As I continue down the weight reduction path, wondering if I can remove my parking brake? It is in a awkward position in the 8th gen Civic where my leg hits it and I tend to brace my leg on it at times..

Is this legal? Couldn't find in the rules..

Re: Parking Brake Removal

This appears to cover the parking brake too.

2017 OTA Regulations - Page 26

4.8.2.2 The braking system may be modified, including calipers, rotors, hydraulics, pads and the ABS system. A brake cooling system may be added.

Keep in mind though that car will not be street legal without an emergency brake.
