If this car is still around in the spring, I might make you an offer on it. It'd be huge fun to campaign a car like that in Solo-1.

super seven

I ran the car at two Solo 1 events this year. It runs in A-Mod with Joe Smileys Corvette- excellent competition! At one of the events Perry's Z06 beat me by a100th of a second for FTD. That is with my ignition turned {accidently} in the original ignition postion not the higher reving computerized Jacobs postion.
Anyhow I'm ready to deal and flexible now. If it doesn't sell now , I will probably make it even faster and will not be as flexible in the spring.
Just too much fun to drive!

Any chance for a test drive?

Actually, I'm fairly serious about it. I'm looking around for some cash right now to pick it up, because my car is pretty expensive to campaign.

Everything can change... and hey, I've already driven a Super 7 before... no problem getting in there.

Super Seven in Solo 1

Yes, it's true, I beat it by one 1/100th of a second, but hey, I forgot turn off the Air and I was changing a CD in the deck so I really couldn't concentrate on my driving. maybe next year I'll concetrate and try hard and beat that little "thing" by 2/100ths.
Good luck selling your car Rob. Who ever buys it will have a very competitoive weapon for any series.

Regards,
Perry

Will you be at the lapping session at Mosport on the 6th of October? Or any other time I might see/drive this car to determine its solidity, etc.? Not that I doubt you, but a man who buys a car without driving it is a stupid man, indeed.

Also, do you have a steering box that is a little slower for road racing? I don't think steering that fast would be agreeable on road courses, but maybe I'm wrong.

Actually , the car is very tight inside and the pedals are very close together - no big sole shoes unless you want to apply all 3 pedals all at once! - new driving technique? But if you been in one before and fit your alright.
The steering ratio is adjustable! you can change pinions to have slower or faster ratios. Maybe you misunderstood , the steering wheel turns 2 turns lock to lock. It works perfect in Solo 1 in correction situations . It is pretty hard spin out. It is equal steering speed to a Formula 1 car.
This weekend I might go to the regional Solo2 at Belleville. If not there ,than Bronte Go station Corvette Club event.
If this is too far than maybe I will show up for some lapping and let you take a drive.
Maybe we can get Perry to show up in his $70,000 2002 405hp Z06 with a/c and cd player ! just kidding

Ah, well, I'll have my firebird eating up those Z06s again as soon as I get my control arm geometry fixed and a couple of other issues ironed out. But in the meantime, I'm thinking that a quick, light, reliable Super 7 would be a much less expensive car to campaign on these small tracks than a 570hp, firebreathing 3300 pound car, which has no respect at all on these small tracks for brakes, tires, gears and bank accounts.

If you go to Belleville, let me know - you can just click on the little icon by my name and email me, or however you want. I'm just an hour away, I'd pop up to see the car run. Might even bring the Rocket with me or something, who knows.

The Seven needs about 2 sets of Hoosier slicks a season and that is on the softest compound R23. Brake pads? haven't changed them , still like new. The car is so light you don't to brake!
Anyhow, It would be good to see you eat up those A/c blowing , cd blaring Z06 guys! Just kidding again,

Robert

Firebreathing "Bird"

Steve,
Just so you know, you can bring on the Firechicken anytime. It may have all the ground ripping horsepower you say, but with our little 405HP, AC Blowin, CD Playin, "Still Under Factory Warranty", fine specimens of automobilia, can lap all day long for days at a time.
I don't want to get into a spamming war, but you've proven your "monster" is truly a "One Lap" car. Now try building it to do 50 Laps! Ha Ha Ha.
